I recall seeing a full list of EH items on the web years ago. I found a dead link recently. I was wondering if anyone had the list posted somewhere?  I saw on odd EH item and was trying to find out more information about it.

That was quick. Thank you. A+
No problem :)

But what was the item? I might be able to help you out with information on it.

It is a little thing that looks like a sales rep might wear around ones neck with 3 yellow Leds. Lemonliner 1979 screened onto the little clear yellow plastic box. Looks to be battery powered. But cannot tell offhand what type of battery. Just curious to the history of the things.

Maybe this thing?  Though I don't see any images at this webpage

Ah, okay, I only know about their effects, not their merchandise.

The EH Man is still about though, perhaps he'll know.

The "Corona Concert"...ahead of its time.

Very close. 3 LEDs vs the 6 in the picture. Yellow clear case. No ic. Do you know what the metal part is inside with 2 legs?  A Reed switch or something like that?  Is says upright position which makes me think it is a switch.

No idea what it is.  Hard to tell from the picture.

So much adulation is accorded to "vintage gear".  But many of these products make me positively embarrassed for my generation.  If we thought this was "cool", I am prompted to re-evaluate many of the FX from the late '70s.  Maybe they were not as wonderful as we like to think they were.   :icon_eek: :icon_rolleyes:

The germanium Lemonliners were way better.

What the hell *is* that!

It has patent pending (and a year) on the front so maybe it can be found in the patents.

Is it this one?

From what I can make out, the patent ckt doesn't look anything like the lemonliner pics.

A yellow variant of  the one Ron posted?

I read somewhere it supposed to change with the music?
Maybe that mystery part is an electret mic?
Could be just the battery?

According to the water analogy of electricity, transistor leakage is caused by holes.

The circuit looks a lot like what's inside this trinket: two transistors, a few resistors, a capacitor (or two?) and a couple of LEDs. Don't know what that big can might be though. Bought this in 1998 in Goa. At some point it died, took it apart, fixed it (cold joints & one of the 2 transistors had mysteriously died) and now it has been blinking in our kitchen non-stop for five years, powered by an old phone charger.

Look up two transistor LED flashers.  There's plenty of ckts.  The ones used in the old bicycle tail-light used a flip-flop with alternating LEDs and two timing caps.  However the EH ckt only has a single timing cap.  The single cap ckts usually only have one LED.

as I was typing "mercury tilt switch" into duckduckgo, I thought mercury? in a metal can? but I looked anyway .......

Looks really close.

That patent link is for the EH Spiral, which is another light display I didn't even know existed until recently.  Someone showed up at the EHX forum with one.

That said, yes, the metal part is a tilt switch of some sort.  It keeps the circuit from working unless it's in an upright position.  The 3 Phase Liner also has one.  I don't know why I didn't think of it earlier.  Just getting old, I guess.

Were all of these LED things some sort of disco-era inspired product line?

I think it was more of a "how can we make more money" thing.
