Hello,

I'm not sure I'm understanding the documentation for this project. There are a bunch of mod options, but I am trying to just build a straight up Stock TS9...

The top section here from the instructions for the stock build leads me to believe that I should be doing what shows in this photo of my project, but on another page of the doc it shows the completely different configuration that isn't marked as to which holes to use. I am confused and getting no sound from the effect. Do I need to do any jumpers on the switch pads for the mods that I didn't use?

Here's the build doc:

Thanks!

The stock TS-9 only has two clipping diodes, so the bottom illustration should be correct.  If you're getting no sound at all, I think it must be something else wrong other than clipping diodes.

Thanks, I'll fix that. I wonder why it lists 4 diodes on the "stock" page of the doc?  :icon_confused:

I am getting bypass, just no sound engaged.

Your board is electrically identical to the diagram, it just uses jumpers to span the 2nd series diode in each direction rather than one diode to bridge the whole distance. No worries there. As long as you've got the switch installed, this is fine, but I should mention that both switch settings will be identical. I would consider replacing the jumpers with diodes in one of the sets (per the Lovepedal Eternity diagram) to give some variety.

Either way though, as willienillie said, an error with the diodes here wouldn't cause the effect to have no sound, it just wouldn't clip the signal at all (unless there was a short to ground or something). So if you aren't getting any sound, then the issue is elsewhere. The input & output buffer transistors are where I'd start, in case the type you used have a different pinout than the board is designed for.

Cool thanks!

I am wanting to just build a stock TS9 with no mods. Do I need to jumper the switch holes? Which pads do the 2 diodes connect to? Do the other diode pads need to be jumpered?

I know, you're probably like "I made all these cool mods and you're not going to use ANY OF THEM?!"  :D

I just want a stock TS9. I don't have one.  :)

If you've got both sets of diodes loaded already, then you can jumper either the top two or bottom two pads of the clipping switch together, no difference either way.

Yep, that's the first thing you should check.

I used 2N5088 like the build doc says, and placed them according to the silkscreen.

Jumpered the switch, still no effect. I still don't understand the image in my original post. It says to use 4 diodes, but then at the bottom of the image, it shows 2 stretched all the way across, but it doesn't say which holes those are supposed to be?
