Hi Everyone,

I've stumbled on that video showcasing a crazy multi delay pedal.

https://youtu.be/J0TIM7K9R6w

I have loved a lot of things about this build but I am especially interested in that glowing LED effect. I guess the rythm of the LED fade in/out is synced with the delay time.

I have spend quite some time on the internet but have not managed to read anything about adding that feature to a build. OP of the video does not give any informations  about the internals.

Do any of you know how to make this work ?

One option would be to have a separate path from the delay output feeding a envelope detector driving an LED. With the sensitivity set correctly it would light and fade with each delayed signal.
Not sure if that's the best way to do it but it's a start

looks to me like the leds are pulsing because of added lfo....

so the lfo warps the delayed signal, creating modulation....

the led is not pulsing in time with the delay by the looks of it.....

so the lfo is acting as if you have your hand turning the delay time....but automatically.

same as my abductor.

I probably should have watched the video ha. Thinking about it, envelope detection on the delay path probably wouldn't be especially useful, it would get awfully busy whilst playing and wouldn't really indicate delay time at all.

That's a great build ! Congrats !

Ok, thanks, I guess this brings me to go and learn more that I expected. I'll go read things about lfo in delay effects. If you have any hints on educational/subjects that teaches/talks about that module, I am very interested !

Thanks for the input, I now understand why it would not work as I expected it.
