Adding Expression pedal jack to my Fs3x Auxiliary switch

Hello everyone. I have an old diy Fs3x switch that i made a couple of years ago and it works great with my Eventide H9 but now i would like to add a Expression pedal jack to the pedal so that i can use the BOTH function on my H9. Should i bypass the RING or TIP conection?

Im trying to achieve something like the Barn3 Ox9 switch but with the option of unplugging the Expression pedal and leaving the 3 switches working. Does anyone have the barn3 Ox9 schematic by the way?
