Small Bear - New Order Window 5/24-5/25

The lockdown is still in effect in New York City, so we remain limited in how much staff we can have in-Cave to pack. However, we are operating, and the shopping cart will accept orders from Noon, Sunday, 5/24 through 9 p.m., Monday, 5/25. Once again, please be aware that shipping may take up to 15 business days depending on volume and how many of our people can make it in.

ALL small-package shipping is screwed-up. Inside the US, the post office frequently lets mail air-out a few days. And air-transport is WAY down because passenger airline traffic is way down. International transport is worse. I understand New Zealand is practically closed to global shipping. If a package gets to your country it is often aired-out in the Customs shed for a week, and longer if the Customs workers are short-staffed.

I did today get a UPS 2-day from Nevada (2K miles away), but I paid more for shipping than contents. (I am in and out of doctors and hospital just now, and my home-made mask is uncomfortable for half-day use.)

I placed my order (US delivery) about 4 hours before the window closed (4/20) - and received it this past Monday (5/18)

- Probably taking a little more time to get to Australia - and as noted above - sitting in quarantine, etc,...

I'm in Australia too...  I placed an order from Small Bear on 23 Apr and the package made it to Japan on May 1st.  However, I just received an update to say that it only left Japan yesterday, 25 May!!  I hope it enjoyed the 24 day stop-over in Tokyo. 

Not sure how long it will sit in Customs once it gets to Australia.  Never mind - first world problems.  My hobby can wait.
