i was looking at the sansamp   the Tri A.C.  anyway to me when i cracked it open i was looking at a stripped down gt-2 with a i guess you call them a pic controller.

i was looking at mine (before i sold it or i wouldn't be asking this question)

and it has your drive knob, your british calfiornia and tweed switch.  i was wondering if it would be possible to for go the channel selection and just build the stripped down version. or if anyone had a shcematic or pcb for the triac i got hard up on money and sold mine.  any ideas.??

for how cheap they are, I'm not sure you would want to try to build one.  I had one for a while, and took it back, and missed it almost immediately.

It is great direct, and sounded way better than a pod to me.

Anyways, I assume since you want to build a stripped down one, you want to build it with out any of the control, and just use one channel.  I think that with all the tracing you'd have to do to make a copy of one channel you might go cross eyed.

oh, and tone pad has pcb's for the GT-2.  It is labeled as "insaine" for dificulty, but looks more time consuming than complex.

yeah i want to use a stripped down gt2 but i was looking at it and some of the switches dont' do much,  like on one of the voices the gain isn't switched but there is a cap switched on it and i was like what a waste of a switch.  but yeah i may just by one, i just didn't want to fork out that much money and i didn't want it programable, and i was also going to make an fx loop so that the speaker sim would be the last thing to hit the amplifier.
