making a Mid-Fi Electronics Clari(not) and have a question about the LDR / LED

this is where i am at now too...This is the first one like this that i have built seems to work but..(testing mode ldr and led)  when i touch led to ground and positive pad it doesn't light up? so if i put mm in test mode I get voltage changes turning knobs..but when i hook up mm to ground and test positive led pad ..no power? so please how does the led get power? is it somehow a ground adjustment? since this is new to me i would like to learn how it works? thanks for having such an amazing site...your pedals are so fun to make and never any probs with layout

Could you please post a draw of exactly what you're saying..??

Remove the led and check the voltage at lug 1 of the tracking pot. You probably have to hit the strings to get some voltage to appears.

If you get a voltage reading with the led removed from the circuit, your led is probably reversed or dead.
