.... I didn't bother to go through the resistor values before, since they came labelled in the kit and I just assumed they were ok. I've now checked all the resistors and the other values seem correct. ....

so here is the lesson - always test the values, of your resistors at the very least, with the multimeter, before soldering iron is hot, labelled bags or not.

Hi guys!

Just wanted to report back that I finally finished my Phase 45 build today. I received a completely new kit from Musikding as I couldn't get the original working. The issue was indeed the incorrect trimpot, and I've learnt a valuable lesson about checking component values before soldering.

I'm really happy with the build. The pedal sounds glorious, especially with the Univibe cap ratio. Thank you all for your help with the troubleshooting!
