two perf layouts I made, still very inexperienced with making layouts...

1. E*D Sea Machine/Gravity Wave pedal, with some component value modifications from here (reply #15)

Schems,

https://www.madbeanpedals.com/EP/schematics/GravityWave.gif
https://pcbguitarmania.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Sea-Device-Building-Docs.pdf

Here's my layout,

2. MH's Woody, with tone pot from here

Schem,

My layout,

If anyone could take a look at these and see of anything's off, it would be really appreciated... also, if I need to move some things around because of a chance of ticking in the gravity wave, just tell me... :icon_mrgreen:

and if everything seems fine... tell me too!  :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen:

p.s. Sorry for all the standing resistors and jumpers, any OCD people...  :icon_redface:

Thanks DA! I'll add that tomorrow as I have to sleep... *yawn*

Anyone else have other input?

Added that, and changed the first post, anything else off/missing?

Oops... accidentally swapped it... fixed now

Mark's woody circuit is split-supply powered. I can't see your circuit diagram to see how you've done the supply connections.

oh right.. forgot to say..

i'm using Vref, which is generated with 2 10k resistors as a voltage divider from +9V to GND, and a 47uF cap from Vref to GND... I tried it and it works...

yyyeeeessssssss ........ and but that would all be shown on your circuit diagram, wouldn't it?

At this point, I don't know which is "his" circuit diagram. I see older drawings, not today's topic.

ahh ok I found an error and updated the schem to what I'm trying to do.. ok now?

see, this is why we want the diagram. I'm not the best person to tell you about opamps, but, I think you want to send your "bottom" and "top" pots bottoms to Vr instead of ground, to maintain biases and obviate blocking caps. and your tone control should come before the volume control, those last three "G"'s look ok.

a final pointer - if you want us to compare your circuit against your layout, you will need to indicate what opamps are where [IC1a, IC3b etc], and what the opamps are [MC1458, TL074 etc], and also the power connections you intend. as someone said somewhere recently, the more information you provide, the better.

The goal schematic seems to be in ANOTHER thread??

I have too many windows open on Corgi-porn. I'm not going to open more than one window for somebody else's circuit.

this Corgi-porn - tell us more!

[11-90-an's time limit for editing his original post should have now expired, and this is in my post, so he'll have to re-post if/when he updates agin.]

Time limit? What time limit?  ::)

Just wanted to clarify.. the tone pot thingy mod was made by @rankot, in another thread.. however ima just breadboard it again and see if it works... sounds good?

Hah! As expected, an error... :icon_mad:

I built the Woody and couldn't get it to work, but after closer inspection and some debugging, there is a missing 10k resistor that should connect from the 3rd IC's pin 2, and pin 7... I'm sure this is not the only error, as there seem to be other problems (no debugging thread yet, I'm trying to learn some self-debug.. :icon_lol:)

I will correct the layout once I can get to DIYLC again, but that's later...
