I've got an iPad. I want to design some perfboard projects on it, but can't find any user-friendly apps for it. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I use DIYLC all the time. Love it, but it's not available on iPad.

how about you use your Ipad as a hard surface to support paper you could write on. you could get math notebook paper and just draw it.

apart from that, i don't know any apps that do that

srry for the useless answer,

huh, better yet. I could just sell the ipad for a couple hundred bucks and use the money to buy a cheap Windows laptop that could run DIYLC. Problem solved!

Iain, if you weren't so goddamn helpful normally, I might be offended. :)

But I have considered using my Apple Pencil and Procreate to draw a layout. It just seems so much more finicky than a targeted app. But I think as most folks who can afford an ipad can probably afford a manufactured pcb or a kit, I doubt there's as much overlap as PC-users and perfboard enthusiasts.

The only one I can think of is StripboardCAD by Harald Sabro: https://www.sabrotone.com/?page_id=4409

I've got it on my iPad, but haven't really done anything with it. Not sure if he's still actively developing it.

I occasionally use an app called StripboardCAD on the iPad.

Yeah, I've been looking at that one. Does it do perfboard? Or is it easy enough possible to imagine the stripboard is actually perfboard? I'd pick it up if it can accommodate.
