On the Octave V; the up/down ratios and the use of the OTAs strongly suggests to me that what they're doing is filtering the input, feeding it to a PLL that multiplies by two with a divider in the PLL's feedback loop, and adding a divide by three on the side just to generate that 1.5 octaves. I believe all of those could be glommed onto one CD4046 PLL circuit.

Given the age of the circuit, I'm guessing that it's limited to single notes, not chords. Is that what it does?

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Thanks for confirming that for me, I agree, it's part of the sound of this beast.

Ironically, I've done up two YGL-3s lately, one was for my old band mate and the other was for the dude that owns this Roadmaster!  He's got your guitar rig, want me to beat him up and take it for you?

Ha! No, I'm good, but I appreciate the offer. To be honest, I always keep an eye out for a YGL-3, hoping I come across one on the cheap.

@R.G.  - Maybe Mark can chirp in here regarding your question.
