10-turn trimpots

they seem much more available than the 1-turn Bourne ones... I'm assuming the way to use them is turn the dial back 10 times to set value at "0" then any one FULL turn clockwise is 1/10th of the value of the pot?

I've never actually counted but that sounds correct to me.

that's fully correct!

i mainly use 20-turn since they were on discount in a local store an i bought a whole heap of em.
i like multi-turn pots since they give much more control over any parameter you want to control.

A single turn pot in series with another single turn one of 1/10 of the former value is much more cost effective..
(and of faster adjustment too..)

faster, yes
cost effective, i doubt it. i got 100 20-turn trimpots for 3 euro. i can't seem to find them in my messy room tho, haha
