Fender Hot Rod/Deluxe 90 Footswitch

Is this the correct schematic for a 2 switch Hot Rod/Deluxe 90 foot switch? If so what is the input coming from the amplifier? Since I'm still unsure how the amplifier is going to detect a change in voltage when pressing the foot switches.
