While waiting parts to arrive in order to finish tuning my wah pedal, i thought to do mod my old MIJ boss CE-2B.

So i did the power supply mod in order to use regular 9v psu's,
incease depth mod
replaced the C2 and C17 electrolytics (0.47uf & 1uf respectively ) with metal film
and replaced the 4558 ic with an OPA2134

I'm stuck at the rate led mod,

I'm not sure where to attach the led with the resistor.

I'm attaching a schematic on which  i have drawn how i believe it should be wired
Can anyone check it and let me know if its wright or wrong?

It will work..!!  :icon_wink:
(it might need lower CLR value - 5k6 to 6k8 say..)

Ok.. first of all the pedal sounds absolutely fantastic with the mods.

But...

I thought it would be a good idea to replace the status LED with a 3mm bi-color one (3 pin) in order to use one color for the on-off status check and the other color as an LFO speed indicator.

Here is the problem I'm facing.

I wanted the side used as a speed indicator to be always on, but it turns on-off when the effect is engaged - bypassed respectively just like the status LED does, other than that it pulses as it should be when on.
I'm pretty sure it cant be done since the led shares the same cathode but i thought its better to ask here

Bellow is the CE-2B schematic on which I've drawn how I wired the bi color LED.

Can anyone suggest how to do this if possible?

You use common anode or cathode bicolour led..??
(your drawing puzzles me a bit, καλλιτέχνη..) :icon_wink:

P.S.
For a common anode, wire LFO speed LED with its cathode to any circuit GND..
(On-Off indicator LED's cathode is wired, via 3PDT switch, to GND only when effect is activated..)
For a common cathode, there is no remedy..
(you can't always get what you want - like trying to start your XR650 via kickstarter..) :icon_mrgreen:

Common cathode and pedal its not not true by passed :)

I cant find a common anode bicolor LED here in Greece.
gonna look in internet and maybe order along with other stuff i need.
I'm going to leave it as it is for the moment :)

Again thanks for the info :)
cheers

P.S.
Also i used to start my XR650 with kickstarter ...most of the time within the first 2-3 attempts :P , try to start an old KTM with the kickstarter on the left foot  :D

Let me search into my junkbox(es) for a common anode LED.. :icon_wink:

P.S.
I do own a left-side kickstart KTM (LC4 640) as weli as a left-side kickstart KTM (GS 250) as well as left-side kickstart Husky (TE610) as well as a completely destroyed left-side knee.. :icon_redface:
