Limburg is the lowest green appendix of a province, i live just above its top (Arnhem) while the cheese is made near its bottom. living so isolated from the rest of the country, their accent has evolved out of the range of being understandable for about half of all dutch people.

Had a friend i visited a number of times over a few years that lived in Nijmegen, last time i passed through Nijmegen and vicinity  was at what ended up being the tail end of a months long cycling adventure with my wife, heading south looking for warmth.
