Cool...maybe mock it up in there, and see what you come up with?  Yes, you can alter the cap values and so on to move the freq. around.  Getting a 'hump' AND scoop becomes more of a problem, tho, IIRC.   That's more of an 'active filter' kind of problem.  You'd end up with a TS on acid, lol.

If you get going in LT and have questions, many of us use it so you will get a lot of help.  You might even post something in the 'Simulation' section, that isn't very busy and it'll give everyone something to do!  :)
should i only make tone stage, the tone stage and the clipping section, or the whole circuit in ltspice?

so TIL the bass cut knob removes some low end, and it also moves the mid range bump over to the high end.

with the bass cut at 0

with the bass cut at 5

with the bass cut at 10

snow123

wait the bass cut control doesnt really cut out bass, it only moves the mid bump to the high end.

it doesnt move the hump, it boosts treble above the original hump, but the original hump is still there.

cheers
friendly reminder: all holes are positive and have negative weight, despite not being there.

i want it to be big and bassy when the pot is all the way down, and then thin and trebely/clangy when its all the way up

rn it just makes the signal more bright

i would put the filter before the gain stage, not in the feedback loop

HOLY SHIT. I DID A PROPER BASS CUT CONTROL THINGY

snow123

ok im really happy with the bass cut now. back to figuring out the mids control lol

snow123

and the gyrator thingy doesnt seem to do a whole lot

snow123

update: this is REALLY close to what i want. i just want some more range on the pot.

snow123

im not quite sure how i can make the mids control not control any low or high end, 'cause the pots sweep is kinda bleeding into the high and low end.

snow123

and it seems like the more sweep on the pot i have, the more the pots sweep is bleeding into the high end.

snow123

and the mids control i have rn looks to boost the whole eq up by a like 5 db. wtf

snow123

the mids are now at 30db. while the low end is -12 to -18db. WTF

talking to ourselves, are we?

i think the 'Q' of the filter is to low, and that is inherent to the design i think (i might be wrong here)
have you tried designing a gyrator to the specs of this circuit?
