I´m working in Proteus simulating a Tubescreamer TS-808, and playing with the program I found that using the 2N5210 creates a CURVE (in simulation) with more headroom (or less clipping) then using a classic 2N3904. Why is that? and Using the 2N5210 is conventional or is a bad thing to use that transistor? I don´t know if replacing the 2N3904 is a good thing.

The pedal in the simulation has the next settings: Volumen -> 10/10 -  Tone -> 10/10 - Gain 0/10

Originally, 2sc1815 transistors were used, the way these transistors are configured, it should make no difference IRL what NPN you use, as long as the hFE is over 100. They are used as unity gain amplifiers, what goes in is what comes out.

The difference between the outcome, the curve, is because in your simulator the two transistors have different complexity of models used. The difference is only in the computer, not with real transistors.

friendly reminder: all holes are positive and have negative weight, despite not being there.
