why are you attempting to measure resistance with power on?
idk, in case its important i guess?

bluebunny

It's important that you don't, for the reasons given.

IMHO, I think u all r getting snow balled, seeeeen it before in a snow post.

Do you know what you're doing?

BTW, this too from another of your threads:

But I'm guessing you're measuring the resistors while they're in-circuit.  In which case, they're in parallel with everything else (and therefore give a lower reading).

you never ever ever measure resistance under power, as the meter feeds a known current to the resistor under test. power on will just give nonsense, useless, meaningless reading.

I might be wrong but I've the impression of the above said (and repeated) in every OP's thread.. :icon_wink:

once per page, at least.

So, where are we now..??  8)
figuring out why the fuzz part of it sounds super low gain

I thought PRR (reply #8) dealt with it.. :icon_wink:

well he asked for the voltages on C8, i gave him the voltages, and i haven't gotten anything back from them.

And you won't till you come to a final conclusion.. :icon_wink:
(definately NOT something like below):

when idle, im only getting 0v to .2v, but occasionally ill get 2.5v to 3.2v.
edit: now (when idle) im getting anything in between 0.1v to 4.0v.
and when playing, the positive side fluctuates in between 3.5v-5.2v.
and i dont get anything on the negative side since its grounded.

P.S.
All those willing guys here try to help you but there is some kind of communication breakdown from time to time, I think..

voltages on C7 (not C8) while playing:
usually stays in between 4v and 5.2v, but sometimes goes down to 1.7v-3.5v.

voltages when idle:
0.2v

can anyone confirm if these voltages are fine or not?

antonis

(I know I'm looking to land in trouble, but..)

May I ask if those voltage readings are taken with DMM set on DC or AC range..??

DC.
