Hi. I'm looking for TL074 low noise alternatives. I need them with jfet inputs and +-15v supply range. Do you know any compatible chips around? It's for a reverb. The TL074 works very good, but at higher reverb settings the opamp noise is noticiable.

Cheers!

It looks great!

It doesn't have the jfet inputs, but I think it doesn't matter because even with the TL074 I have to use a buffer at the input, otherwise there's a drop in volume.

What's the deal with this chip? It's even cheaper than the TL074.

Ya know, I don't really know much about it....only from a discussion in the past here similar to what you posted - looking for a lower-noise chip...I looked for a quad 5532, this seems to come close.

Is this a reverb tank recovery circuit? What's the impedance of the spring line receiver coil?

Input buffer - EQ section - Driver - Recovery - Blend

I'm using a JFET input buffer and a quad opamp (TL074) for the rest of the tasks. There are both driver & recovery pots to make the circuit work with different input impedances values. Right now I'm using a tank with a 600Ohms input impedance and 2250Ohms output impedance.

2250Ohms is high enough to need buffering so once you get to a low impedance I'd go with BJT audio grade amps for everything else.
