SpinCAD not saving files

Hi there -

I'm just setting up a new workstation for FV1 adventures on a new (used) laptop running a fresh win10 install. SpinCad is refusing to save anything, telling me to 'look at the stack trace'. I've tried fresh installs of spincad and JRE to no avail. Anywhere I can look to see where it's trying to save things? I can't seem to open any of the stock patches either.

Hmmm.

Try running it in debug mode.  On Windows, open a command prompt and make sure you are in the same folder as the jar file.

java -jar "SpinCAD-Designer-1023.jar"

Also, where is the SpinCad jar file located and what are its properties (permissions)?
