I can say from experience that the Fuzz Phazzer FP-1 schematic is accurate, at least! Of course, they're not making that one.

One thing that's interesting about the Delay and the Chorus is that they both have more controls than they put on the panel.

The delay has a switch for modulation, but the Rate and Depth controls are internal trimpots (so set and forget). Similarly with the Chorus - there's a switch for amplitude modulation, but there's also an internal trimpot to adjust the level of the modulation.

That's an interesting design choice, I think.

Beyond that, "Maestro" is just a brand name now. At least when the old synth companies got restarted, they had the original people involved: Bob Moog, Dave Smith, Tom Oberheim. This doesn't seem like that.

The record shop across from my work has a copy of this on LP I'd like to buy. It was only recently that I learned Eddie Harris was a big proponent of running his saxophone through effects and uses the Maestro wind effects box, which had EQ's and octaves on switches, this along with wah wah and phasers is pretty consistent for him across at least 5 of his 70s albums that I've checked out.

A good friend of mine actually had TWO Orchestration Pluses (or is that Orchestrations +?) before selling one of them a couple years ago. I have never used it personally, but I've played with him while he did once, and it had some fairly insane deep sub-octave content happening...

It bears noting that, while we here tend to think of processing 6-stringed instruments, many effects are really predicated on a monophonic input; especially when it comes to converting pitch into something else.  No palm-muting required with horns!

I agree the Eddie Harris one is a bit like regular, "safe" groovy jazz with some unexpected horn fx interjections, doesn't quite go "wild." If you follow him through the 70s each subsequent album gets a little weirder than the previous. This one is probably my favorite, and I'm willing to bet the drum machine is a Maestro Rhythm King / Queen / Jester unit, as well

My personal favourite is probably "Conversations Of Everything And Nothing" from the E.H. In The U.K. album, largely because I'm a hopeless sucker for Chris Squire's classic Ricky/Rotosound bass tone, and this piece is an absolute clinic on it. EH's Maestro unit is heavily to the fore as well...
