If they DID resurrect anything, I sure hope they didn't rely on the old factory schematics, many of which contained copious errors.  I'm not that smart when it comes to discrete circuits, but even I look at some of these, tilt my head and go "Well THAT can't be right":  https://hammer.ampage.org/files/Maestroworld.zip
I can say from experience that the Fuzz Phazzer FP-1 schematic is accurate, at least! Of course, they're not making that one.

If only they WOULD reissue that one. I'd be first in line at the music shop.

I won't rest until there's a Rhythm N' Sound reissue. With a modern power supply for lower noise.

Here's my newest Maestro fixation. Eddie Harris "Plug Me In."

The record shop across from my work has a copy of this on LP I'd like to buy. It was only recently that I learned Eddie Harris was a big proponent of running his saxophone through effects and uses the Maestro wind effects box, which had EQ's and octaves on switches, this along with wah wah and phasers is pretty consistent for him across at least 5 of his 70s albums that I've checked out.
Wild stuff and deep Maestro lore

The "String bass" from that rhythm n sound is unreal. Really nice! Is there something just for that effect?

Strategy

It may be similar to the Maestro Octave pedal of similar vintage - but I've never had a look around to see if there's a DIY project of it!
