Flanger Hoax with SAD1024s - I wonder?

No problem - just do it! (I used 2 BL3207 BBDs + 2 BL3102s as divider/driver because I had thousands of them. Clocked by 2 CD4046 VCOs, modulated by 1 TL074 quadrature Sine-LFO).

Could be converted to SAD1024s or TDA1022s or MN3007 "by those skilled in the art" ...

I think given todays prices it would be a bit crazy to go for SAD1024 

It would be great to see some of Puretubes designs redone as DIY friendly with modern easily available BBD like MN3207 or some such.

Some might have sticks of NOS devices bought back when nobody else thought they were worth much. Then come here to gloat

A non-disclosure-agreement prohibits the publishing of the circuit (schemo or pcb),
but the gadget couldn`t be much DIY-friendlier than with the mentioned:
2x XX3102*
2x XX3207**
2x CD4046
1x LM13700
3x TL074
1x LM78L05
1x LM7809
2x lo-power LED Y
2x lo-power LED R

Those *, ** XX BBD+Clock/Div chips are (more or less readily) available these days around the web.
From NOS-ers as well as newly manufactured by a (very) few modern companies!
The other semiconductors are "normal" stuff.

SAD1024, TDA1022, XX3007 would offer higher signal-headroom possibility, for people who have access to such chips (not me).
Higher signals also could be handled using other tricks with double the number of XX3207 chips plus an extra TL072, without the need of above-mentioned rare ancient BBDs.

The "secrets" of the Flanger-Hoax have been shown and explained in part almost completely however, @ this forum in a long thread helping a guy to (successfully) design his own Thru-Zero-Flanger, some 10 or so years ago ...
