DC piecewise function to control a RIDGE pedal

I need help to design a circuit

It accepts a pot position as input

And outputs a DC voltage

That I wish to program to follow a particular function.

I initially see two paths

A microcontroller could do this very easily

But I wish to also consider a DC piecewise function generator or diode ladder

Where all the points on the graph can be programmed using appropriate diodes and resistors

Any ideas ?
