Amazon has a one button looper for pennies.  I personally wouldn't build one from scratch.

The looper is a pretty steep hill to climb, not a good DIY candidate, maybe no kit available.

There are a number of PCBs for small clone:

The chorus is not a great starting place for kit building, better to build a few booster/fuzz/od pedals just to the assembly part clear. But I have never had problems with this board/project.
