Where is the broken part

This is the schematics of the barber electronics dirty bomb, very high gain op amp distortion, as far as I know.
Mine is broken. It doesn't sound nearly as loud and distorted plus has some sort of highcut flair. Sometimes when you push the sp3d switch in a certain direction it goes back to normal, but quickly messes up again. I've looked round the capacitors and couldn't see Seth wrong. I replaced the fs twice but the same problem remained. Can you please check the schematics to tell me where I might look or replace parts.

Antonis is right, an audio probe is a good way to start. You'd then go through the various stages of the pedal and check that you've got a solid signal at each location. At some point, you'll get to a bit where it goes bad, and that gives us a good idea where the fault is.

Your comment about wobbling the footswitch a certain way sometimes makes it go back to working correctly makes it sound like there's nothing fundamentally wrong with it and it might just be a intermittent connection (which are often a right b!tch to find since they're invariably working when you're looking for them and then broken when you're not). I'd check the offboard wiring carefully to make sure all the connections are good. Grab each wire and give it a little tug and a wiggle.

For audio probe test points, you could try IC1 pin1, IC1 pin 14, Volume pot pin 3, and IC1 pin 8. But check the wiring first. I'm not convinced the problem is on the PCB.

how have you built this, pcb, vero, perf, point-to-point, cordwood, breadboard? I'm interested in how those points marked +4.5V connect, as there is no point in the supply section marked +4.5V.

Really ? At this point i'd like to mention that I am in no way related to diystompboxes, or diystompboxes members, and I don't know anything about the " big nasty bomb" that has been discussed.

Weapon grade plutonium is probably a common thing these days. I'm afraid that's not enough anymore. Don't they put some of it in the fields to kill the bugs ? Maybe also in toothpaste, to quickly get a very bright smile ?

If you'd like to trigger some sort of serious alert, you could also pay a quick visit to the closest police station, explain to them that they don't need to be concerned, you are just going to build many Barber Dirty Bombs, because it sounds great with lots of power on tap, and the world will be a better place after that. Even then you might have to wait a few days before things get in motion...

I don't think law enforcement officers will barge in your home, like in the movies. First they have to collect informations, see who is your leader, etc.
