Are you kidding, Ron..??

You don't have a mixing pot but a variable resistor..

Move the pot (with lug 1 grounded) between Q1 Collector and 100nF cap..

ahh yes makes more sense.......cool. i,ll try that now....bloody vero i hate it lol...

ok, modded the vero to have the vol at collector, wiper to 100n, and 1 to ground..

much better, 

but guitar signal is still losing something...compared to going direct in, same patch etc....hmmmmm

JUst don't forget DC blocking cap between Collector out and pot upper lug..
(I know you know but I also know you're a great scatterbrain..)

LOwer 100k mixing resistor value..

yeah did the cap...and yeah the guitar is nice and bright when direct/bypassed...

but quite muddy when through the mixer.....i,ll lower the mixer input 100k now..

edit as it happens i put a 47k there....already.

so will lower it to 10k i think .

I'd play with 100nF cap..
(smaller for brighter output - possible volume drop should be settled via mixing resistor value..)

got ya, i actually dropped it to 1k, which was notably better...added more brightness but just not quite there compared to direct in...

so i,ll have a poke about with at cap n test....cheers man.   

but yeah the mic is pretty darn  good.... getting there.
