Hi all. I am trying to repair a Holy Grail (big box version) and hope to gather some tips here.

Symptoms:
1. On the Spring and Hall settings, there is no reverb effect produced no matter how much I turn the Reverb knob, plain dry signal.
2. On the Flange setting, it produces some kind of "flangy" effect if I turn the knob passes 3 o'clock.
3. The LED lights up when I engage the foot switch.

Any idea where should I start?

Bit rot, likely & unfortunately.
I hate DSP based stuff because once it's done you're more often then not totally S.O.L.

Open it up and inspect for anything obvious. Though I have a feeling there won't be much to tell.

I love going under the hood on pedal repairs and have really gotten into rehabs (as much or more than builds, the last couple years really) but I have to say, EHX will repair pretty much anything from the last 20 years for a fee of $25. I had a Holy Grail that had similar issues to what you describe and ultimately just sent it to them because yeah, $25 all in is an incredibly reasonable bench fee and they turn it around pretty quick, like a month.
Another Holy Grail I had I was able to repair myself (missing capacitor, and broken wiring).
But the big one was, I bought a beat up used "Holiest Grail" (quasi-rare black version with interesting features) that had most of the faders with the tips broken off; I was having trouble sourcing the fader parts on my own, so i sent it in, EHX fixed all of them AND hammered out a dent in the enclosure..for $25. I don't know very much about EHX as a company but this stands out to me as pretty good service. Some companies don't answer, some say they won't service an item past a certain age after purchase, others will service but for a higher fee.

I don't know if they will also service 80s and vintage EHX gear, and stuff beyond a certain age, but I've always been curious. There was an 80s Electric Mistress floating around local Craigslist that had issues, and I considered buying it to rehab and play, but wondered if they would take something that old if I couldn't figure out the issue. (the pedal sold before I could grab it sadly)

I have one that is dead too, it just oscillates. I've sent it back to EHX to see if they could fix it, $25 wasted. They did fix my Holier Grail though.

I've repaired them before and it was the vreg or the mixing op-amp that had failed. This time I think someone used a wrong polarity power supply and roasted it good.

Going by your username, it looks like you found my post at 'the other forum' and have fixed your unit.
