Activation/LFO LED for Bassballs

Hi all.

I plan to make a Bassballs pedal from Dirtbox or Mad Bean sources (both are the same as the looks of it), and I wonder -apart from the on-off LED- whether it's possible to add a signal LED to react according to the input (or output) signal. I'll make an artwork accordingly. Hope I'm clear

Is it somehow possible to implement such a thing?

I've never tried but, I suppose an LED from the base of Q1 (on the mad bean schematic) with the cathode to ground could work to do what you want.

EDIT: There no LFO here, but an Envelope Follower, made up of everything in between the Sens pot and Q1.

I'll give it a try. Quite stupid question but connecting a LED to output + & - would not work, right?
