I haven't built anything in several years, but now have a couple of pedals I want to do.   In the past, I used a lot of Xicon parts from Mouser.
I'm looking today and not seeing any.   What, if anything, has replaced those?

Any brand of resistor is perfectly capable of impeding the flow of current.

Not a very polite attitude, is it..??
"I'm getting older while being taught all the time" Solon the Athenian..
"I don't mind  being taught all the time but I do mind a lot getting old" Antonis the Thessalonian..

No, and brand allegiance is rarely constructive.
They are marked as "End of Life: Scheduled for obsolescence and will be discontinued by the manufacturer" on Mouser.

I suppose this is what I get for trying to use my phone instead of a full computer.  Thanks for the info.

Basically any, from the ridiculously bougie to the absolutely budget, will do practically the same thing (and be fine for what we need).

I like the Yageo shorts as they are very compact, and not that expensive (much moreso than somewhere like Tayda however)

Leaving aside the heavenly "toan" of 1920s Atwater-Kent resistors.....

It's not just the Ohms. We want sturdy leads with clean tinning, we like tough coating and clear stripe colors, and not too much tape-goo. I been out of the market too long, lifetime supply of 1999 resistors, but I recalled that thread and know that Yaego and KOA replaced the brands I remember.

Or anything Vishay. They seem to be buying all the passive-parts companies, and you may get a Favorite Brand made on classic or updated machinery under a new name.

I'm confused by your response. what is it that you got? why is what you get different when on a real computer?

A large screen is easier to navigate.

Super bummed they are gone from Mouser. KOA seem to be working out fine, though. $4.40 for 100 qty, but in tape rather than bulk like the Xicon.
