An update! (for those of you who have been sitting on the edge of your seats, biting your nails in anticipation - sorry for the long wait!). I ordered the nuts from Bezos' jungle shop and at first glance they look good (OK they look a bit rough and bumpy, but Chinese quality is Chinese quality - they arrived quickly!). So 7 out of 10 of them fit mostly, probably good enough with a spanner / wrench... The odd three are just too large - I can slide them down the barrel of the socket with almost no friction at all, and I don't know about you chaps, but I'm not one of those frictionless nut sort of chaps... I like some grip. So I think I can use most of them, and for the rest, who knows... the moral of the story: Always check your nuts! You never know what might happen to them.

LOL.  Stuff from China never ceases to amaze me.   How can the nuts be different!   It's like they have a box of 10000 rejects and throw 3 out of 10 crap ones from the junk pile in each order.  There's no sensible way to explain it (well there is parts could have fallen in from a different box next to it.)

According to the water analogy of electricity, transistor leakage is caused by holes.

I know that regular female 6.35mm Jack nuts are compatible with these DC sockets. Just my 2 cents.

I will see your 2 cents and raise you 2 cents worth. Those nuts for the 6.35 Jacks are around the 9.4mm size, most those type DC jacks are around the 12mm nut size, some are larger at 1/2 inch size. but none will be fit by the 6.35 audio jack nuts.
More likely you could substitute a footswitch 12mm nut as compatible with that type DC jack.

Phend

As a backup, try a tight fitting O-Ring or Quad ring. Quad might actually thread on.

Do you know what you're doing?

Chillums

FWIW the nuts on those SPST momentary footswitches should work for you as well.

That's right, my mistake.. they're suitable with any big type switches that has 12mm of screw size.

Lost my 2 cents dayum..
