Can this stuff be brushed on in thinner layers or do you have to dump the whole thing to get the self levelled shiny look to it? If so, what kind of brush? I ask because the few times I've used epoxy the top of the box looked great and the sides looked like crap being all big drips.

This is just an anecdote in case anyone nobody has a more comprehensive experience...

My son brushed mod podge on his pinewood derby car and even with thin coats, it left a distinctly brushed texture. This was fine for the project at hand, but I was paying attention and curious how it would look with pedals. YMMV with other products or techniques of course.

Focalized

I used it a couple times and the sides were also messy. I taped over the sides once so it only covered the top then just used clear spray for the sides.

I now just go with light clear coat and bake. Shake n bake. Hardens up pretty quick. So as long as there's no moisture or oils left on your base coat that might bubble up from the heat.
