AI art generators for pedal decals?

So far, I don't think anyone has mentioned fractal generators like the Mandelbrot or Julia patterns.  Seems like a job for a mathematician.

Wow, colour PCBs! I've been out of the loop for too long
It's been a few months since they started this.
Results vary though, folks are still in the trial and error phase of this service for optimum results. Someone had 5 PCBs done and 3 of them had spots of ink wipe away - that's the last I've hard of this service.
Also, you have to use EasyEDA with their plug-in for the correct gerber output. Easy enough to import and edit existing work from what I've read.

A few of us also use to use acrylic paints to paint/decorate our pcbs.

My batch came out pretty good, and I agree they're definitely still in the early days of it. Despite being ENIG by necessity, they still charge the same or lower than HASL. I expect that'll change once they get more experience with it, and it becomes more popular. But we'll see I guess.

The process to set it up in their "Pro" EasyEDA is fairly clunky. It's nearly impossible to do any work on the PCB once you import the graphics. I ended up creating some alignment marks on the USER layer, then dragged the graphics out of the way every time I needed to change anything.

I imported from KiCAD and it messed up most of the through-holes, reversing their X and Y dimensions. That seemed to be the only problem, but in the future if I need color PCBs I'll do most of the work in their EasyEDA because I've lost trust in the import process.

Colorful pcb's would benefit with a clear bottom plate on the effects box.

Do you know what you're doing?

My old 1997 PowerMac 7300/180 (or qemu-system-ppc emulation), Photoshop 4 loaded with a bunch of fractal and other filters downloaded illegaly from old hotline servers, a good Scotch, and magic mushrooms beat any AI   :icon_mrgreen:

Kai's Power Tools were the thing to use if I remember well... I used to spend far too long creating fractal patterns with that software.

Aldus Gallery Effects were another set of filters. Many of these were added to Photoshop.

I didn't know that a lot of the Aldus filters were the ones that appeared in later versions of Photoshop! The Texture Explorer of KPT makes me wish Adobe had bundled that into Photoshop as well - I used to spend so many hours twiddling with the settings to create weird patterns.

I still have a cracked file for Paint Shop Pro from the mid 2000s that I still use for everything image related. When trying out filters to make designs I remember using xxx pics with crazy filters until something cool would happen. Don't think I ever used one. I stopped making decal layouts a while ago always having too much bad luck with printers.

Man, I am digging that Y2K UI. Crazy how 30 years is all it took to go from us to go from computers having entirely too much whimsy and personality to being devoid of either.
