Has anyone tried DTF (direct-to-film) transfer for pedal enclosures? I know the transfers have to be heated to stick down permanently but one web site that I saw said that it can be done with a household clothes iron.

Best regards, Jack

I'm not sure if it's exactly what you had in mind, but I've used t-shirt transfers with very good results, IMHO. The type that are made for use on dark colored t-shirts is a thin, printable film. After you print your image, you can cut it out, peel off the backing, place it face up on the enclosure, cover it with the included protective paper, and iron it down with a hand-held clothes iron. The ironing times and temperatures suggested on the package (for t-shirts) also seem to be good for ironing on to metal enclosures. Be sure to sand and clean the face of the enclosure well. I think this was my first attempt...
