First time turret board FF question about positive ground

  I can not wrap my head around the positive ground wiring, I've looked at dozens of pictures and schematics but not sure its just reversing battery connections. On the attached picture can somebody explain the final connections to jacks and battery clip? I plan on only using a battery clip with build

The wire marked +ve ground will go to all ground points (the jacks, any others like the led on the foot switch) and the positive terminal of the battery, the red wire on a battery clip. You now have positive ground.
The wire marked -9v will go the negative terminal of the battery, the black wire from a clip.Your power source is 9v below ground.

You will not be able to use this with an adaptor and DC power jack unless you use a dedicated power supply. No daisy chaining allowed!
