While i was talking to Francisco, i told him how some time ago i wanted to try making effects schematics using isometric art, and he told me i should give it a shot, and the past couple of days, i did, and it turned out really well :D.

after several hours of restless drawing, i finished the complete 3d schematic/layout for a LPB1 booster, and put it inside a small "website" i made, so that it can be accesed easily, you can at:

http://smallbox.zeonhost.com

and click on the LPB1 link on the effects projects section. i hope you enjoy it. comments/critiques/corrections are welcome.

Very nice~!!
that would be very helpful for layouts. It really shows how things connect better than a regular schematic does.

Good work.

A really worthwhile contribution.  I'm sure that lots of beginners would find the 3-d artwork really helpful in working out the connections.

Great work   . It's the first time that I see a layout like this. Congratulations.

Wow that is pretty wild. I'd love to see more just for the hell of it. Hell they are pretty enough you can even use it as desktop wallpaper.

C Bradley

Nice work! The only improvement I can see would be to make sure the color codes on the resistors are right. The 10k and 100k look wrong to me. The 100k in your drawing has a green band, which would make it 1M.

A Fuzz Face would be a logical next step for this sort of artwork, as it's probably the most recommended beginners project.

Great job!

Got Fuzz?

I am one of them, I have found lots of schematics, but  I can not do anything with them, because I can not undestand what they show, but this is great, I will construct this booster as soon as possible, thanks Juan carlos noguera :D

Are you planing to draw anything else?

stylus

Thank you for pointing that out, Mr. Bradley, i have corrected those values now. next i AM thinking about some sort of distortion device, maybe a fuzz face, but more seriously, a complete amplifier layout, maybe a 18w. :D

I am a little confused about the jacks, Is there a mistake in their tag names, I think that what is labeled as sleeve is the ring... sorry if I am wrong, I am very, very beginner.

stylus

i was under that impression too, but Francisco corrected me. just solder as shown and it should work fine.

Really nice and very helpful to novices. There's a similar sketch in my web:

It's a small Theremin, a colaboration to my web from my friend FMK. Look also for an even smaller Theremin and another cool graphic here in FMK's own web:

Not as cool as yours but in a similar vein

Those two circuits from FMK are done using WinCircuit (I believe). You can find a trial version on the web. I have been using it and it is very buggy, but we have to admit that the 3D circuits look kind of cool...

Very, very cool!!!  Bet it would be a challenge for a really complex circuit, or would it?

Je, Je.., ok, thanks Manolo dudes, for you references at my work.

Very cool, this is similar sistem at drawings for piping system. (3 edges at 120º)

some soft for this pipingm, can facility this type of draw.

one cool idea, can be, one software whit library of componets similar for faciliti this, or one pre-router isometric, je, je.

or the wincircuit whit this...

yeah, a complicate circuit would take time, but the base is there to build from. i started on something a little different :D

Hey Stylus,
Beautiful web site! Awesome 3D drawings! Very impressive.

One suggestion... might be nice to also have a link to the regular schematic for comparison, to help folks make the leap from scheme to construction.

Looking forward to seeing more!

Thanks

Goddam smart-ass kids. Why, I remember when we had to scratch schematics on the radio shack wall with an old nail cuz we saved the pencil leads for making resistors. What’s the world coming to?
Heh, heh.
