I just started building an Ampeg Scrambler and I've got a few questions before I start soldering the parts in.

Is the pinout for the MPSA14 and 2N3904  ECB   or is it EBC  ?

I am using the layout found on the tonepad website and i noticed that the semiconductors are labeled  E  C  B  E      Does this mean I need to run a jumper from the E pin to the other spot where it should be connected?

Thanks!

If you look at the traces, the extra "E" pads are connected to the ones at the other end for each transistor - this way you can use the different transistors that work in this circuit, w/o having to twist leads around if the pinout is not the same as those in the original circuit  simply find the pinout of the transistor you are going to use, and fit it in how it goes best, (with each point going to a correctly labelled pad, of course.)

Hope these help, I always get the datasheets for all the parts in the project for better understanding and later modding.

I fried my first set of Scrambler transistors because I didn't pay attention to the pinout. I believe that General Guitar Gadgets has some info if you look under their Scrambler notes.

that's a nice project. Have fun.
