The map now loads, but about 3/4 of it has what looks like a transluscent 'film' across it, making everything blue.

Thanks for putting in the time by the way!

Edit:  I'm having a 50/50 success rate with the original link though (better than nothing  :) )

Guess it has to do with converting a png into a jpg... But who am I to tell
I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.

My country is about the size of a dot !   Getting a little crowded there ;)

Peter Snowberg

I just added an option to remove the marks to make it easier for people in crowded areas. :D

The map is open to browsers as well as registered users so it's very hard to say.

That dot is in Iraq. Maybe one of our troops? Or an Iraqi who is tired of surfing porn?  :D  Oh wait, its only been a few months, they can't be sick of it already!

javacody

Wonder who's the dot in the middle of the Atlantic?

Peter Snowberg

Hmmmm.... that would be very cool to think there is a pedal builder in the Azores, but they're North and East of that dot.

The same person clicked on upstate New York one minute earlier according to my server logs and the address is from NY so I'm going to guess it's not accurate. :?

If the click is accurate, please let me know.

minneapolis... hey peter... when i clicked on it and inspected the map with my dot alone, it landed exactly in the right spot, but after it was added to the batch of other dots, it moved somewhere else and there's no dot on top of minneapolis at all.  weird.

Peter Snowberg

Hmmmm.... I just looked at the image and I'm getting a dot on Minneapolis. I'm guessing that your browser had a cached image in there and since my code is such a hack, the image didn't get reloaded. I'll add the force-new-header-code tomorrow.

Thank you for the heads up. :D I appreciate it. (Thanks for representing Minnesota too ;))

Take care,

An acquaintance of mine outfitted a 3 piece band from spare parts in Antarctica earlier this year.. including maraccas using tilt switches! but it was more synth-diy than guitar fx.

bioroids

The trouble in Antartica is they have a hard time trying to get the solder to heat  :)

Who's in Bagdad anyway?
