Gagan Gain Pot Mod instead of a rotary cap switch on a wah??

I am curious if anyone could tell me if this mod would work in this 535 wah I have been fussing about with.
It has a roatry switch in there now with three caps and some resistors...
Not sure how they implement it but they uses three caps and some resistors to get six settings.....
I have always wanted to use this mod on something and just never got a round to it.
When I think about how this mod should work I think it would be awesome but thought I better ask before I get my hopes up to high.
Any reason this wouldn't be worth trying or just won't work?
