Orange Squeezer sustain pot discrepancy

Hi all - this is probably a superfluous question, but....

I've been reading around about the Orange Squeezer and have decided to build one.  However, I have examined two schematics, one at GGG and the other at Tonepad - the discrepancy I've noticed is the connections on the sustain pot.
At GGG, the wiper arm is connected to ground (with arm 3), whereas at Tonepad it is connected to the main circuit (with arm 1).

I'm not sure how much difference this is likely to make as I am fairly new to all this electronics - i've only built two effects so far!

Any help would be greatly appreciated
