I see no point in crediting the Japanese site. The basic idea (Schmidt trigger/integrator to make triangle and square waves) was done with TUBES in the 1940's!

I think that if Colin made substantive changes to the circuit, he has added at least as much as they did. Give him a break.

If you wanted to properly credit the modern, op-amp version, I'll bet dollars to donuts that it was developed by Bob Widlar. He tweaked-up and documented almost every basic op-amp building block, back in the 60's.
