Voltage Doubler Question

I'm building the voltage doubler with the MAX1044 from the GEO site.
I'm wondering if I'm to use electrolitic caps for the 10uf values, and if so, which way to orient them.
The schematic doesn't say, but R.G. talks about the positive and negative sides of the caps in his explanation.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome Jeff, :D

The easiest way to get additional info on a chip is to type the number into Google along with the word datasheet.

Here is the datasheet for the MAX1044
http://pdfserv.maxim-ic.com/en/ds/ICL7660-MAX1044.pdf

Figure 9 shows a doubler with the minus side of the switched cap connected to pin 2. The cap across the output should have the minus connected to ground.

I hope that helps.

Take care,
