  I just got a package from TI !!!
 So I'm thinking and thanking .... anyone TI Watching???

  My sincere thanks to TI for going to all the trouble to have selected chips brought to my door !!!
 All I had to do was type a few character...then sit there and indulge myself in choosing 8 high precision chips !!! Great.!!!!!!!!!!
 I'm sure this is a lasting first impression.

Oh yeah I ordered a total of 60 ICs from TI. Now to hope that customs doesn't hold them up too long

I also got my TI package today! All those little OPAs... sweet!  

smoguzbenjamin: My package was stuck for two days in Cologne here in Germany, which I think was Customs related. But I did not have to pay any import taxes so far, looks like this is also handled by TI.

Oh, and you can enter the tracking number of your order at the UPS website to view its status, a cool feature!

mm I wonder.. German customs seem to be stricter than Dutchland Anyway you'll always pay less import tax than what you would normaly pay for the IC's, right

The IC I'm most excited about is the OPT101. It's a light-controlled voltage source I ordered the max of each kind (5 DIP and 5 SOP). I'll just solder the SOPs to a socket, which I'll then sorta glue to the outside... I donno I'll have to figure it out. test reults will be posted for sure!

I got my TI order Monday night. I ordered it Friday Night.

By the way, there are some great free capacitors and resistors out there. Search for what you want + the word "Samples" on google, and you will find some.

I've place 6 samples orders in the last few days. The little plastic cases that the opamps come from TI are cool!

Man, I love getting free ICs in the mail too, but I've never odered as many as you guys!  JESUS!

I actually recently ordered some from the analogdevices site which normally come next day but it's been at least a week.

MAXIM has the best cases though, their more like a jewelery case...its got a pad of dense styrofoam on the bottom, just shove the pins into it

I just got a reply from NJM/JRC that my chips from them are being sent out.
