Shaka Tube Lives Again

Yeah, I noticed that those wires were a little close to the tube, so I moved them out of the way and used a zip tie to keep them there. :wink:

The tube doesn't get so hot that it would melt the insulation, and I can keep my finger on it for quite a while without it hurting or burning me.

You can build anything on a PCB

But it's too much of a pain in the ass for me, perf's a lot easier. When I grow up and I'm rich I can pay for PnP and etchant and stuff. But now I'll stick to good ole perf!

That was through my Fender Blonde Bassman. I need to pull it back out again - I was looking at it the other day. I think another mod might be the .0015uF across the output to ground to make the pedal even smoother. I think I will try this.

Aron, thats a awesome sounding amp, I've wanted a bassman for quite a long time, epitome of the blues amp for me, a little heavier than my crate for sure... Maybe casters, getting old (getting? Ha, lone be serious, your there baby)...haha.. Great clip though.

Thanks, that gave me a chuckle. I needed a laugh, my morning has been rather crummy - just the usual garbage I have to deal with at work. Plans checkers can be a real pain in the neck!

Hmm, a Marshall Plexi doesn't sound too bad... but I would use turret board. Maybe I could fashion some turret board out of some perfbaord... :wink:
