Okay maybe not quite,

The little Danelectro vibrato has got some good reviews (relative to it's price) for doing the vibrato univibe thing.

Has any tried to add an effect panner and maybe a signal inverter so that you can get the phase part of the univibe as well?

Thanks!

I'll warn you that working on a Dano mini is extremely difficult.  I ruined my Chicken Salad trying to add a speed pedal.

Modding the effect to do that may not be too hard since your just adding a simple mixing stage but the box is a tight space with lots of SMD. If you don't have a scope to find the need connections see if you can get a schematic. Then you would have an idea where to look for things.

I did something similar alittle while ago but instead of hacking the effect directly I built an interface board that connected through the in/out jacks. That way I didn't have to play with anything inisde the effect so I could restore it to original condition if needed. I then repackaged it into a tougher box. That might be a better way to go.

Rather than trying to work in such a confined space, have you thought about building an external looper/panner arangement and using the Dano in the loop?

Thanks for all the suggestions. Now I just gotta find one cheap on ebay. Still be keen to hear from any one who tries this before me.

Thanks

I had heard it sounds good (the chicken salad) but from what I was reading, many were saying it requires a wall wart because its a power hog and the battery doesn't last long? Is that true (those that have it), I'd like to build the Neovibe, but damn, thats alot of components for a beginner like myself , I think I could do it, but I'd have to get familiar with the laser transfer iron on PCB transfer stuff because I sure wouldn't want to have to draw or use dry rub on transfers on that bad lad. :D

With all the dozen's of blues songs that start "Gonna get up in the morning" , its a fact that blues musicians are apparently the only ones that actually get up in the MORNING...

Trying to build a neovibe was the cause of this idea. I've built a few distortions a tremolo and modified lots of other things but the neovibe had me beat. So tread lightly Lonehdrider :)

Okay so I have now bought a Dano Vibrato and found out that it does the phasing (or chorus) half of a univibe pedal. So now the question is, does anyone know how to make it just do the vibrato bit?

Thanks
