Big Muff Pi potentiometers: linear or log?

I'm getting ready to build up a Big Muff Pi variant and had a question about  the pots. I've seen the Volume and Sustain pots listed as 100K log, and I've seen the Volume only listed as 100K log. I've even seen all the pots listed as linear.

I'm leaning toward the Volume pot being log and the Sustain and Tone pots linear, but can anyone give me a reason to go one way or the other? Thanks.

in my BMP sovtek, the sustain and tone are both linear, while the volume is log, so yeah, that works pretty well.
