DC Jack Wiring question..

I have a pc mount 2.5mm dc jack and i was wondering what pin does what....there are three

1pin in midle of bottom
2pin at the back back
3rd pin on the side.

Which goes to the center, and which goes to the outside??

What is the remaining pin for?  Which one is that?
