Does anyone know where to get 50v 2.2uF Panasonic ECQV series stacked metallized polyester capacitors?  These are the small film caps that people like to sub for electrolytics in commercial boards.

I did a quick web search -- didn't find too much at all and nothing that looked like it catered to the DIY market.  (Digi-Key carries many of that series, but the largest value they have is 1.0uF.)

Many thanks!

I tried before, and came up with nothing. I'm gonna keep trying, and I'll let you know if I find them. I wanted them to replace the 2.2uf electro in Fuzz Faces. I ended up getting some Panasonic 2.2uf tantalums. I like the ECQ-V series for .1uf to 1.0uf, I use the greenies for smaller than .1uf.

Hi -- thanks for the info.  (Disappointing though.)  Good luck in the continuing search....

Maybe i could pass it by Steve at Small Bear....  Sounds like a part a lot of us could use!  The ECQVs don't seem all that expensive either.

The ECQVs are cheaper (from Digikey) than most of the "greenies" from Mouser...and they're higher quality.  Can't beat that! :)

The ECQ-V's are nice. An ECQ-V 1uf is smaller than a greenie .01uf. I will find the 2.2uf's, sooner or later. BTW, Circuit Specialists does have pretty cheap prices on the greenies.

I just sent a note to Steve at Small Bear.  He thanked me for the suggestion but said he can't carry them right now and will add the part to his (very-long) "parts-to-consider" list.

The search continues....
