Check these out.  Even at $22+ shipping, they're only $3 apiece.  They are a very good size.  If I get the lot is anyone interested?

"molded" bezels, means molded plastic.  probably not a good thing.

I was going to bid on those last time they were around.  The problem, though, is as compuerjones mentioned they're sort of plastic.  The price and size are right though.

...although they ARE steel/aluminum all around and just the edges are plastic, which I could live with.

Thanks, yeah .. I see that now.  Busted bezel if it's dropped on a corner.  Drag.  Unfortunately that bezel is what holds the sliding lower panel into the shell.  I could make different endplates, but now it's getting into alot of crap.  I might still bid. dunno.

I've used Lansing enclosures like that on two products in the past (non audio stuff). They're decent boxes and fairly sturdy. I don't know how well they would stand up to stomping, but I'll bet it would be pretty good. You would need to put any stomp switches near to an edge for best results.

They come apart really easily and from Lansing the prices are $15 to $30 per enclosure!

Take care,
