For the new Professor Tweed there are some cap values that are labeled as 22n. I not familiar with that value. How does it relate to uf  or pf?

thanks

zener

1n = 1,000pf = 0.001uf

In pico units:

1 - 999 = picofarad

1000 - 999,999 = nanofarad

1,000,000 and so on = microfarad
Oh yeah!

Yuan Han

22n = 22nanofared

1 nanofared = 0.000000001 fared (1E-09)
1 picofared = 0.000000000001 fared (1E-12)
1 microfared = 0.000001 (1E-06)

so, 22n = 0.022uF
or
22000pF

Its like Yuan Han said, 0.022 uf or I need a new Capacitor tester. LOL !

I hate it when schematics refer to nF... i always confuse my self and the uF

i like uF a lot, cuz if you reduce the decimals you can figure out filters really easy....   1uf and 1M resistor  .... 1/ (1*1*3.14*2)

easier than 1000000*.000001*3.14*2  especially when the numbers a little more compex... like .022, and 47k
